COLLECTORS KEEP MORE THAN THE OBJECT.
THEY KEEP THE EXPERIENCE THAT SURROUNDS OWNING IT.
A book earns a place on a shelf. A record sleeve
becomes part of the collection. The things we keep are often designed to stay with us.
Mint's is an exploration into packaging that becomes part of the ownership experience rather than the waste that follows it. Designed for premium die-cast collectors, the project transforms recycled materials into a reusable display object that protects, stores and showcases each model. By treating packaging as something worth keeping, Mint's reimagines sustainability through longevity instead
of disposal.
Reimagining packaging for premium die-cast collectibles by moving beyond disposable blister packs of the present.
The project explores a reusable solution that protects the product, elevates perceived value, and transforms the package into part of the collector's experience. The aim is also to evolve the current packaging structure into something desirable and worth keeping. Mint’s centers interaction in its materials and details, rethinking how people engage with high-end die-cast cars and elevating the experience for every user.
User Needs → Sustainable Design Responds
Parents want safety, collectors want longevity, and gift-buyers want responsible products. By designing packaging that is reusable, durable, and made from recycled materials, Mint’s reduces waste while adding long-term value for every user group.
